Common self defense weapons

The most common self defense weapons on the market today are pepper sprays, tear gas, and stun guns. In this section of the web site, we will briefly go over each of these self defense weapons and what they do.

The first of these self defense weapons are pepper sprays. Pepper sprays are used to slam shut the eyes of an assailant and cause uncontrollable coughing and choking so that you can escape. They are considered a humane way to temporarily immobilize an attacker so that you can get away. The sprays begin working in seconds and give you a clean and non-violent way to avoid a dangerous situation.

Tear gas sprays are self defense weapons with similar effects to pepper sprays. Tear gas sprays cause profuse tearing and burning sensation in the face area resulting in disorientation. The victim will be temporarily incapacitated due to the pain. This will give you a chance to run away and escape. Tear gas sprays also begin working immediately and are medically safe.

The last of the self defense weapons we will cover here are stun guns. Stun guns release an electric discharge into the assailant, temporarily stunning and immobilizing them. The electric currents sever the connection from the brain and the muscles, forcing the victim to just drop down and not move. Stun guns are a non-lethal way to subdue your assailant but require you to be close enough to use it.

All three self defense weapons offer a non-lethal way to immobilize an attacker and escape a threatening situation. However, you shouldn't just rely on these products because there can always be a case when you don't have them near you.
